Bascara Leadership Awardees
Five outstanding alumni of the Rizal Youth Leadership Training Foundation received this year's Bascara Leadership Award in a ceremony held last week at the YMCA International Convention Center, Ermita, Manila.
Foundation President Melchor S. Morales said the awardees are Rep. Dante V. Liban (2nd District, Quezon City) for community service; Assistant Solicitor-General Rodolfo G. Urbiztondo, government and public service; Dante M. Velasco, entrepreneurship and corporate affairs; Dr. Jaimer M. Buzar, education and Mr. Gregorio G. Fernandez, development work.
The Bascara Leadership Award is the highest recognition bestowed on the Foundation's alumni who have excelled in their field of endeavors and have demonstrated leadership capabilities, sense of justice, honesty in public service and love of country.
This prestigious award is an annual tribute named after the Dr. Domingo C. Bascara, founder and president emeritus of the Rizal Youth Leadership Training Foundation.
